Universal Upholstery are specialists in ute canopy manufacturing and fitting. With an outstanding reputation in country Victoria (VIC) and New South Wales (NSW), our customised ute canopies, made out of high-grade canvas or PVC, are highly sought after by ute owners.

Standard canvas used by the canopy industry contain a 50/50 blend of cotton and polyester. This high cotton content means other manufacturers have to oversize their canopies to allow for shrinkage over time, which dramatically impacts the appearance and can also cause flapping problems.

Canvas Canopies for Utes and Off Road Vehicles

Universal Upholstery’s canvas has been specially designed in-house and is manufactured by a leading Australian manufacturer exclusively for our use in our canopies. Our ute canvas is an extra heavy duty 16oz ripstop which is low in cotton and high in polyester. The low cotton content eliminates the problem of shrinkage while providing a perfect fit and stops associated problems such as zips becoming tight and no longer closing.
